Description

THE DEVIL DOWN BELOW is a well crafted supernatural horror story that is vivaciously creepy and harks back in themes to Psycho, The Exorcist and The Amityville Horror.

When Daniel and his mother Madeline lose their home during the American recession, they are surprised to discover they have been willed a home in a small Canadian city by Madeline’s estranged sister.

Shortly after moving into the house Daniel begins to hear strange noises coming from the basement of their new home. One night he decides to investigate it further and discovers a secret door that has been boarded up for many years, and behind it speaks a voice.

Trapped by a group of wealth occultists that sought to steal its power, it needs Daniel to help it escape. To do this it will need the power from three souls but Daniel, unable to take life, refuses.

Soon after when Daniel’s mother grows very ill with a terminal illness Daniel is forced to strike a deal with the voice to help save her.
