Plot outline

CELLS is a short drama film concerning two childhood friends; prisoner Stacey and visitor Georgia, inseparable in their youth, but whose lives have moved in radically different directions from their schooldays. Centred in a visitation centre bordered by the backdrop of the prison walls, after over a decade apart, the two friends reminisce nostalgically, laughing, gossiping and revisiting their spirited youth before revealing the incidents that have left Stacey behind bars and estranged from her daughter. But when Georgia’s motivations for her visit are questioned it becomes clear that it is not only those found guilty that carry a burden of guilt, leaving her to wrestle with a life changing decision...
