LightBros presents a one of a kind documentary following the journey of blind Olympic medalist Enhamed while he attempts to cross from Europe to Africa.

THE PROJECT

LightBros & Enhamed present an innovative and poignant project based on a one-of-a-kind, never done before challenge. A challenge based on self- improvement, physical and mental effort, and the power of teamwork.

“Blind Horizon" is the story of Enhamed, a para- Olympic medalist who will cross the Strait of Gibraltar swimming.

ENHAMED

At just 8 years old, Enhamed suffered a retinal detachment resulting in the complete loss of his sight. Later, at nine years old he discovered swimming, which he then took on professionally at the age of 13.

Enhamed is currently the best para-olympic in history, having won a total of 9 OLYMPIC medals (4 golds) and numerous European and worldwide
records, some of which have remain unbeaten.
Today he mainly dedicates his life to coaching; giving out business and motivational talks on the human capacity to overcome
challenges.

To show that EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS POSSIBLE and to serve as an example of inspiration and self-improvement.

Enhamed has successfully completed numerous demanding races and challenges: Ironman (Lanzarote), Kilimanjaro ascent, Marathons
and Spartan Race.

His life experiences and learning have always been his main tools to transmit this message to the world. For the first time Enhamed becomes the protagonist of a documentary under a unique cinematic piece.

This time, Enhamed prepares to make history in a new way.

THE CHALLENGE

To be the first 100% blind swimmer to join the coasts of Europe and Africa through the Strait of Gibraltar.

Place: Departure point: Tarifa – Arrival destination: Morocco.

Goal: To demonstrate that there are no limits than the ones you pose on yourself.

Team: With his friend / guide Fran + a team that shares his values(total of 4 swimmers).

Date: The first day of April in which the weather conditions are favorable for departure.

THE CAUSE

Enhamed wants to be an inspiration for many people through sport and his values. In this way, we have decided that this challenge needed to contain a social component related to sport.

In the same way and during the training phase, videos will be published on social media and various online outlets to keep those interested informed.

It will also serve as a medium to raise awareness and profits for the construction and infrastructure of an installation that will enable kids to perform sports and other activities, a project lead by Kubuka – Mas Por Ellos.

-Drainage and sewage systems for its maintenance against extreme weather conditions (rain season).

-Construction of infrastructures for the development of activities. -Storage for sport equipment.

-Sport development classes involving distinct workshops.
