I'm Bout It, originally released in 1997, is a classic hip-hop action film that spawned the straight to video hip-hop film genre. This gritty film is a staple for every hip-hop fan.I'm Bout It was re-released on a limited basis in 2002 through Ventura Distribution. UrbanWorks Entertainment will now release I'm Bout It wide with a fresh new vibrant look to create renewed interest and incremental sales of this classic film. I'm Bout It is a motion picture written, directed, produced by and starring Master P. It is a drama comedy based loosely on his life. Surviving the projects of his home town, New Orleans, Master P takes us through the journey of life.
New Orleans rapper/filmmaker Master P's noirish mini-feature about growing up in the hood combines raw dialogue and rap with a gritty streetwise story. It also features several songs by rap artists including Eightball,& MJG, C-Loc, Mystikal, Sons of Funk, UGK, Prime Suspect, and TRU, as well as all of the No Limit Underground Videos.
