GET LUCKY, the film

THE BIOLOGICAL CLOCK IS TICKING IN THIS TALE ABOUT A WELL MEANING GUY WHO DECIDES TO TAKE PART IN A BANK ROBBERY TO PAY FOR HIS GIRLFRIENDS IVF.

Plot outline

Tim and Cathryn is a couple in their early 40’s. They haven’t really gotten anywhere in life – no career, no college, no direction, no ambition and no kids… And now that the biological clock is ticking they have decided that the most important thing for them is to have a baby. Something that they, like many other couples their age, discover is harder than they imagined.
After trying for months without success they decide to go to a fertility specialist who suggests they go the IVF route, however it is going to cost them $25K per try. Since this is way out of their financial range they have to go back to the drawing board, doing it the old fashion way, with the help of thermometers to know the perfect time for fertilization, acupuncture, the alignment of planets etc. Flash forward to a month later - desperation has set in… Tim has performance problems and he is missing the romance and intimacy, whilst all Cathryn can think about is getting pregnant and having a baby. Tim then comes up with an ingenious plan how he can raise the 25K for the IVF – he is going to drive the getaway car for some friends who are doing a bank job. Obviously he does not tell Cathryn about his plan.
As he watches his friends run towards the bank he gets a phone call from Cathryn who says he has to come home right away and make babies – the time is ripe for fertilization and they only have a 30 minute window to do it otherwise they’ll have to wait another month. And who knows if the planets will be in the right spot then?
Tim now has a tough decision on his hands – should he drop everything and leave his friends to their fate and try to make it home in time to fertilize Cathryn?
Or should he stay and wait for his friends to finish the bank robbery and drive the getaway car and disappoint his beloved?
He gets the feeling that whatever he does, it’s going to go straight to hell...and that is exactly what it does.
