Scott Derrickson (IMDB) will be directing the Hyperion Movie, a sci-fi movie based on the “Hyperion” books by Dan Simmons. Warner Bros. and GK Films plans to do a single movie which encompasses elements of both the “Hyperion” book and “The Fall of Hyperion” book. Each of these books can be a movie on it’s own right, and thruthfully, every chapter in “Hyperion” can be a movie on it’s own merit – just based on the charachter stories. But Hollywood being Hollywood, a couple of hours is all there is to condense everything into. Good Luck!
Producer Graham King is working with Dan Simmons’ book series “Hyperion Cantos” at Warner Bros., with Sands and Simmons adapting the first two books as one feature. King is producing through his GK Films.
