Description

Shongram, the Bengali word for struggle, is the tale of a dying old man in London, reflecting back on his youth, lost love - Asha (meaning hope) a Hindu girl, his home land and the bloody liberation war of Bangladesh.

A moving tale focusing on a family and their village that experienced firsthand, the tyranny that the Bengali people felt in 1971, how the experience converts civilians and farmers to fighters.
