Standing Ovation is a comedy with original song and dance numbers that tell the story of how fearless faith and the bond of friendship enable a street smart group of youthful talent to sing and dance their way to the fulfillment of their dreams. Standing Ovation features kids in all of its principal roles and tells its story through their optimistic eyes.

The Standing Ovation Brand is all about the young performer from ages 5 to 18. We encourage young people that have a talent and dream to perform. The brand includes an inspiring and uplifting movie, soundtrack, karaoke cd, and keep fit exercise dvd. We make daily posts to invite kids to dance, sing, and follow their dreams by building their health, strengthening their inner voice, growing in love for themselves, the planet, and all of the creatures that share the planet with us. Every Monday we post quotes to encourage kids in the manifesting of their dreams. Tuesday is Tasty Tuesday where we share healthy treats and food ideas. Saturday is "Love The Animals Saturday" where we invite everyone to spread love for the creatures of our earth. Sunday we share words to inspire and strengthen.

STANDING OVATION MOVIE

The movie was inspired by nationally known actor, singer, performer and teacher Sal Dupree of Dupree Performing Arts Studio in Linwood, New Jersey. Born in Brooklyn, NY Sal spent his youngest years in foster homes throughout Camden before moving to an orphanage in Philadelphia where he lived until he was seventeen. His upbringing ultimately led him to devote his life to encouraging young performers. Dupree entered the music industry early. Beginning with Doo-Woop performances on the street corners of Philadelphia. Dupree launched a lifetime career in music. He was part of the Duprees in the 50's. In 1975 he founded Dupree Performing Arts Studio in Linwood, New Jersey. His guidance has led students to land key roles in some of Broadway's most popular musicals including Annie, The Sound of Music, Peter Pan, Les Miserables and Beauty and the Beast. Dupree is also credited with coaching Bianca Ryan, the ten year old who who America's Got Talent. He grew up in an orphanage and overcame adversity and trying times through his voice. Sal is often heard saying..." If you have any talent, that is God's gift to you. If you use that talent, that is your gift to God."

Dupree asked his long time friend award winning writer/director Stewart Raffill to write a film that would showcase kids who had talent, worked hard and were ready to be given a chance to shine. Standing Ovation was created with an ensemble cast of talented kids. The Standing Ovation brand is going to continue to make movies that showcase up and coming young talent and encourage them in making their dreams come true.

The cast of Standing Ovation was picked from everyday kids that have been studying music, dance and acting; we felt their hard work and talents deserved to be seen. Our cast members which include Dexter Darden (of Joyful Noise) have gone on to promising careers because they were given a chance to be seen on the big screen and someone believed in their talents.
